Full of steampunk vibes, this original Assemblage Canvas is framed and carries a Boho feel as well with its gypsy sitting atop the design. Assemblage describes the process of creating a larger art piece from smaller objects. Best described as a 3D collage on canvas, it contains numerous vintage “found objects” as well as newer embellishments.

Texture takes a starring role in this 12.50″ x 10.50″ wall piece as well with a background built with multiple coats and spritzes of paint and waxes over several stencil designs utilizing dimensional paste. Its embellishments/found objects number around 50 with 130 brass and turquoise beads*. Its depth is 1.25″.

Older found objects include two types of bracelet links, brooch, large daisy, large brass beads, sections of a beaded braided necklace, toy parts, metal filigree, acorn caps, and various jewelry makings and leaves. Newer embellishments include assorted gears, gypsy face, raven’s head, 3 round metal design, clock face, dream charm, hexagon, arrowhead, cabochon, wings, bow and arrow, buttons, leaves, and wood rectangle.

On a 10.0″ x 8.0″ canvas board, the frame measures 12.50″ x 10.50″. A wire hanger is attached although this piece will also display nicely on an easel.
