The “Today would be a lovely day to be a butterfly” charm sets the mood for this natural piece on canvas which contains a number of botanical pieces including twigs, preserved moss, feathers, stick bird house, and Spanish moss. The printed burlap and the textured chicken wire stenciling provide a background for the natural and new elements as well as the found objects – a few vintage pieces including iron chandelier pieces and the bird eggs (originally part of a flea market find – a bird egg wreath).

All natural items have either been treated or frozen for 72 hours to assure the absence of pests.

Attached hangers for wall hanging. Although I prefer the no-frame look, this is ready for framing. I occasionally frame an Assemblage Art piece and the end result can be stunning. This piece would also display nicely on an easel.
