The charm encouraging you to “live the life you’ve imagined” inspired this Assemblage Art piece that all started with an awkward bright purple piece of plastic in the shape of a pocket triangle. My guess is that it was part of a larger toy piece at one time but my imagination saw it as the perfect basket for flowers. The flowers came from an extra large wire brooch with beads going every which way while the perfect backdrop was a child’s toy pie plate. And then the design took off and ended with this work of imagination.

Found vintage objects include that odd toy piece, wire brooch, child’s toy pie plate, leaves, beads,  while the new items include luggage charm, numerous brass and metal findings of various shapes and sizes, resin cabochons, paper and/or fabric flowers, crown charm, rhinestones, bias tape and ribbon, microbeads, and quote charm. The background is textured with stenciled patterns, random use of paste, and several types of fabric.

The depth of the piece is 2 1/2″ and its foundation is a stretched canvas loaded with layers of paints and spritzes as well as textured stenciling.. Please note that although the quote charm appears to be a spotted blur in the pictures of the complete piece, it is actually is quite clear as can be seen in the close up view.

I suggest hanging as is (utilizing canvas framework) but will include a sawtooth hanger for installation in case you desire a separate hanger. Although I prefer the no-frame look, this is ready for framing. I occasionally frame an Assemblage Art piece and the end result can be stunning.
