Artist Bio
As an artist, I’m mostly self-taught although I have taken advantage of art instruction throughout my life from drawing to watercolor to polymer clay to mixed media techniques and beyond. For the past thirteen years, I’ve concentrated on assemblage wall art and three-dimensional collage while I continue to take numerous art classes to refine my wall art.
I find that my wall assemblages continue to evolve into new looks as I constantly look for additional methods and materials to bring into my work. I have plans for another assemblage line which I’m presently developing that features all handmade elements from various materials.
I strive to create art that causes the viewer to not only find comfort in the work but also a sense of discovery. With assemblage art, it’s what one sees that counts as the arrangement or inclusion of numerous found objects brings impressions to mind – be it symbolic in nature, inspirational, or a reminiscence of the past.
