Observations – it looks like the Moon is making a few in this 3D collage on canvas measuring 4″ x 4″ x 1″. The black gesso background is textured with dimensional paste to give the appearance of stars in the night sky. Spritzes of paint were added to give a dark blue tint to the night. The moon is fashioned from polymer clay by yours truly. The crown and word charm stating “Observations” are both newer objects.

I’m crazy about art featuring a moon with personality. Here I utilized one of the best moon polymer clay molds I’ve found to give a big message in a small canvas. So expressive!

There is an attached hanger and, although I prefer the no-frame look, this is ready for framing. I occasionally frame an assemblage piece and the effect is stunning. This piece will also display nicely on an easel.
